Fleeing

So I just got some super-duper awesome colored pencils from my sister as a present and I'm so darned happy with them. They work so wonderfully! They're nice and soft, but can be sharpened to be really pointy.

This picture is a bit of an idea I had with a rabbit running from danger. The red behind it represents the danger it's escaping, but the cold blue shows that the rabbit has plunged himself into a new and frightening world. Still, there's hope in his eyes despite his terror. He knows that, despite the fact that the world he's going to is new and terrifying, it will be better than what he left behind.

Sort of inspired by Watership Down, though the initial intent was actually representing my current milestone in life. I'm going to be an adult in less than a month and there are a lot of things I have to delve into that truly scare me. But I have to overcome my fears and press into the frightening parts of the world or else I'll be overtaken by stagnation and won't progress as a human-being. I need to take on these new responsibilities seamlessly or else I won't produce anything. And if I don't work to produce and contribute to the world, I'm nothing.
